What skills and experience we're looking for

The Spinney is a popular and welcoming Group 2 village school in Cherry Hinton on the Southeast outskirts of Cambridge, age range 4 – 11 and we have an exciting opportunity for a Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant, to join our team. This is a permanent, term time plus INSET day role (39 weeks) position and the hours of work are:

Monday – Friday 8.30 am – 3.30 pm (this includes 0.5 hour for lunch which is unpaid)

The successful candidate will be caring, committed, and a pro-active experienced individual who will support our children’s learning and preparing resources, early years’ experience would be advantageous.

The successful applicant will be

  • Have a commitment to getting the best outcomes for all pupils and promoting the ethos and values of the school
  • Have experience of working in a Early Year/Foundation stage
  • Creative, enthusiastic, and proactive, keen to embrace new ideas and challenges
  • Have a commitment to safeguarding and equality, ensuring that personal beliefs are not expressed in ways that exploit the position
  • Empathetic towards children with SEND
