Level 2 Teaching Assisstant job summary
Rothwell Victoria Junior School is looking to appoint a highly motivated and nurturing Teaching Assistant to work predominantly with a child in Lower Key Stage 2 with significant social, emotional and mental health needs however, there may be an element of supporting other groups of children in school.
The successful candidate will be required to support, under the direction of the SENCO, other designated teachers and professionals, the education and welfare of this child. Candidates should have experience of supporting children with Autism, global delay and social and emotional needs.

We are a small, friendly, family school, with great children and a friendly team of staff. Situated in Rothwell, about 3 miles south of Leeds City Centre, we serve a local community which is economically and socially diverse and draws its pupils from the surrounding area. The percentage of pupils eligible for free school meals is above average. A small number of our pupils are from ethnic minority families. The school is one and a half form entry with 175 pupils aged 7-11 years on roll. Most of the children transfer to us at the end of KS1 from our local infant feeder school – Cockburn Haigh Road Academy.
