About the role
Brotherton and Byram Community Primary Academy are looking to recruit a dedicated, enthusiastic and experienced Level 2 Teaching Assistant to work within our hardworking team. We are looking for a Teaching Assistant to work 27.5 hours per week which will be worked during term time, this is initially a fixed term position to cover for maternity leave.
As a Teaching Assistant you will be passionate about teaching and learning and believe in developing the true potential of all our children. You will have a calm and positive disposition, the ability to break down activities into small step teaching and will nurture, inspire, challenge and motivate pupils. Implementing clear boundaries and routines, you will use behaviour management in all areas around school.
You will have the ability to build a good rapport with parents and carers and the wider school community.
The job requirements
We are looking for someone who has experience of working with children in a supportive capacity and has good verbal communication skills. Strong time management, organisational skills and the ability to work well as part of a team are all essential to this role. It would also be beneficial to this role if you have had experience working within KS2.
As a Teaching Assistant you will play a key role in the children’s day, helping to support them in the classroom, breaking down activities in to smaller step by step teaching to ensure they get the most out of their learning. You will also guide the children to help them to develop friendships and relationships with other adults in the school and their peers.
Ideally you will be an experienced Teaching Assistant with knowledge and understanding with regards to child development and the curriculum
