What skills and experience we're looking for

  • Can form positive and caring relationships with children which motivates them to learn, grow and be confident

  • Be committed to inclusion and working with parents.

  • Have understanding and experience of strategies designed to support children with social and emotional and communication and interaction difficulties

  • Be able to demonstrate a range of strategies used to support emotional regulation

  • Shows initiative and the ability to be spontaneous

  • Work flexibly within a supportive and committed team

  • Has knowledge and understanding of the National Curriculum

  • Use strategies, under the supervision and guidance of the teacher, to support pupils to achieve learning goals

  • Support pupils to understand instructions and support independent learning

  • Supervise and provide particular support for pupils, including those with special needs, ensuring their safety and access to learning activities

  • Is a good team player who is willing to contribute to the ethos and wider community of the school

  • Has a sense of humour, combined with energy and enthusiasm

  • Shares our commitment to CPD
