About the role
Park Grove Primary Academy are looking to recruit a dedicated, enthusiastic and experienced Level 2 Teaching Assistant to work within our hardworking team. This role is initially to work in Key Stage 1 with children who require additional support. We are looking for someone to work Monday – Friday 8.30am – 12.30pm, this is initially a one year fixed term position.
As a Teaching Assistant you will be passionate about teaching and learning and believe in developing the true potential of all our children. You will have a calm and positive disposition, the ability to break down activities into small step teaching and will nurture, inspire, challenge and motivate pupils. Implementing clear boundaries and routines, you will use behaviour management in all areas around school.
The job requirements
We are looking for someone who has experience of working with children in a supportive capacity and has good verbal communication skills. Strong time management, organisational skills and the ability to work well as part of a team are all essential to this role.
As a Teaching Assistant you will play a key role in the children’s day, helping to support them in the classroom, breaking down activities in to smaller pieces to ensure they get the most out of their learning and you will also guide the children to help them to develop friendships and relationships with other adults in the school and their peers.
You will have the ability to build a good rapport with parents and carers and the wider school community.
Ideally you will be an experienced Teaching Assistant with knowledge and understanding with regards to child development and the curriculum for Early Years and Key Stage 1.
