Level 2 Teaching Assistant job summary

Stanstead Flying High Academy are looking to appoint an teaching assistant to work alongside our experienced and committed team to provide high quality, supportive and nurturing provision for our Stanstead stars. This role will involve supporting the needs of children with SEN needs. The successful applicant will be working alongside other staff and professionals to help them access the curriculum and develop their independence while supporting them to reach their full potential both academically and socially as well as supporting their day to day personal care needs.

Your core duties will be:

  • Working with a team to deliver high-quality provision for our children
  • Supporting specific children to achieve their individual targets and with their personal care needs.
  • Work with other professionals involved in supporting the child’s needs under the guidance of the class teacher and SENDCo
  • Preparing the classroom for the next day’s learning
  • Carry out observations of the children and use these to work with the team to inform planning for their next steps
  • Supporting the children’s physical and emotional well-being
  • Supporting and nurturing the children to become the best versions of themselves and ready for the next stage of their education
