What skills and experience we're looking for
Come and join our brand-new Little Thinkers Nursery setting where we are creating an amazing team who always put every child first. Our new setting is based Kings Ash Academy and will be providing childcare for babies aged 9 months to 2 years, not only for our local communities but for those further afield. We are excited about having a close team of staff who thrive on teamwork and a challenge and are looking for someone who is as passionate about transforming the lives of our children as we are.
As a Nursery Practitioner you will be joining a caring team, who thrive on teamwork and a challenge. We are looking for someone who is passionate about transforming the lives of our children to join with us and support in the childcare at our exciting new provision.
You will become part of a team who are responsible for providing first class care to children within the local community, The successful candidate will:
Duties:
- Create a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment for children.
- Plan and implement age-appropriate activities to promote learning and development.
- Supervise and engage with children during playtime, mealtime, and rest periods.
- Observe and assess children's progress, identifying areas for improvement.
- Collaborate with parents and guardians to ensure the well-being and development of each child.
- Maintain accurate records of each child's daily activities and progress.
- Follow all health and safety guidelines to ensure the well-being of children at all times.
- Assist with general housekeeping duties to maintain a clean and organized nursery environment.
Experience:
- Previous experience working with children in a nursery or childcare setting.
- Knowledge of early childhood education principles and practices.
- Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with children, parents, and colleagues.
- A genuine passion for working with children and supporting their development.
Qualifications:
- Fluent in English (written and spoken).
- Relevant qualification in childcare or early childhood education (e.g., NVQ Level 3 or equivalent).
