We have a vacancy for an experience Teaching Assistant to join our team at Stratton School. This role will afford the successful candidate the opportunity to be fun and creative in their approach, adapting to the children’s varying needs. Working closely with the SENDCo and wider SEN team to provide children with the best possible educational opportunities. We would love to hear from candidates with experience or qualifications relating to autism who would bring some valuable insights and experiences to our new Autism Centre of Excellence (ACE) provision on site. Confidence in communicating regularly, clearly and effectively with parents of children with additional needs would also be beneficial for this position.

- To enhance and share your existing experience with opportunities to work within the Autism Centre of Excellence at Stratton School.
- To undertake a fulfilling and rewarding role where you will be making a difference to children’s learning
- Enhance the impact and availability of support by liaising with specialist services on behalf of students.

The ideal candidate:
- Practical experience or qualifications relating to autism.
- Will possess GCSE English & Maths Grade C (4/5) or above or equivalent.
- Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification or willingness to work towards this.
- Experience of supporting pupils with SEND or behaviour needs would be beneficial.
- A confident communicator and team player
- Can be adaptable, take on board new ideas and think on their feet
- A solid understanding of child protection and safeguarding issues

Stratton is a thriving Upper School with around 1,000 students on roll.
