This is a Fixed Term Contract
Please note that this position is a fixed term contract which is linked to an individual child. The contract will end on 31st August 2025 or earlier should the pupil leave or funding cease.
We are looking to appoint a Teaching Assistant to work 1:1 with a pupil who has an Educational Health Care Plan (EHCP). As part of the role you will work with the pupil on their specific educational needs, support their social and emotional development and general learning needs. You will also be required to supervise/support during unstructured recreational times.
You will be an adaptable enthusiastic and motivated Teaching Assistant who will support teaching and learning and be part of our dedicated team. It is important that you are an effective team worker and committed to developing exciting learning experiences for the children.
Experience of intervention programmes and/or supporting IEP’S would be advantageous as well as experience of working with SEN pupils.
You will have good oral and written skills and be able to communicate effectively with children, staff and parents and be committed to caring for children’s needs. You will be confident working with small groups of children and be a team player. First aid trained or be willing to take a first aid qualification.
The hours of work will be Monday to Friday 8:40 am to 12:40 pm
