Level One EYFS Teaching Assistant job summary
We are looking for a new teaching assistant to join our school!
An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our nursery team, providing care and education for the youngest pupils in our school. You will be working alongside the Nursery Teacher and Nursery Nurse, providing excellent learning opportunities through adult led and independent play. Applicants should have a significant knowledge and understanding of the EYFS curriculum, as well as a caring, kind and approachable manner. Previous experience is desirable, as well as a very good understanding of childhood development.

• NVQ Level 2 in Child Care or Health and Social Care (or equivalent)
• Initiative and self-motivation
• Knowledge of the use of observations for assessment
• Understanding of a child’s emotional needs

• The ability to promote positive relationships with parents/carers
• A willingness to be an active member of the whole school team.

HOURS OF WORK: 8.45am – 3.15pm Term time only
We are facilitating visits to the school at the moment, under strict health and safety guidelines. These visits need to beyond the school day. These visits provide you with the opportunity to meet the EYFS team and the head teacher, as well as give you some context surrounding our school community.
