Our opportunity for you

We are looking for two versatile and outgoing individuals to join the College as a LFE Assistants to support our community hire and lettings activities outside of college hours.

This post is based at Landau Forte College, Derby and will report directly to the LFE Operations Manager.

The person we are looking for should have experience in the following areas:

  • Worked within the hospitality industry and have excellent customer service skills
  • Experience in a facilities or building maintenance environment
  • A good multi tasker and logical thinker

We are also looking for someone with the following skills and abilities:

  • Able to work on his or her own initiative, be reliable and trustworthy
  • Able to work successfully as part of a highly effective team
  • Excellent personal organisational skills and be a proactive, forward thinker
  • Excellent time management skills
  • Willingness to work unsociable hours to support the College facilities lettings business
  • Excellent communication skills and confident working in a busy, demanding environment

Job description

Duties for this job will include (but are not limited to):

Meet and greet customers and facilitate the smooth running of external hires.

Clearing and setting up of rooms

Closing and securing the College including activation and deactivation of alarms

  • Be the initial point of contact for all enquiries in person
  • Maintain a tidy and orderly work area
  • Be responsible for all bookings during your working shift, ensuring the college is set correctly.
  • Working on the bar/tuck shop while its open
  • Carry out responsibilities with due regard to the Academy’s policy, organisation and arrangements for Health & Safety at work.
  • Adding and amending bookings and taking and adding payments.

Any other appropriate duties and responsibilities relevant to the post as directed by the Chief Executive Officer, Principal, Vice Principals or Assistant Principals.
