Librarian Assistant job summary

We are looking for an engaged and enthusiastic person to work alongside the school’s Learning Resources Centre Manager supporting students with their access to, and enjoyment of, reading, and in the school’s development of a research literacy curriculum. The Librarian Assistant will help develop and maintain the library and provision and will play an important part in helping students discover the joys of reading by finding the right books for every individual student. Part time hours would be considered on a case by case basis.

You will need to demonstrate that you:

Have a love of reading and enjoy sharing that passion with young readers;

Want to make a positive difference for the benefit of students;

Have the desire and enthusiasm to play an active and collaborative role in contributing to a warm and welcoming School Library;

Have the interpersonal skills required to inspire and motivate students;

Are keen and able to embed enjoyment and success in learning.
