What skills and experience we're looking for
We are seeking an enthusiastic and committed individual to champion our library and play a key role in promoting whole-school literacy. The successful candidate will inspire students to explore a wide range of resources, both digital and print, supporting them in developing knowledge across the National Curriculum, strengthening their personal and social understanding, and, most importantly, fostering a lifelong love of reading.
The role will also involve supporting and organising engaging literacy events throughout the school year, including celebrations such as World Book Day, author visits, reading challenges, and other activities designed to bring books and storytelling to life for our students.
Together with the Reading Leader and Reader Listeners, you will help ensure that individual and small-group reading interventions take place effectively. You will support the planning and delivery of targeted support, ensuring that interventions are carefully tailored to meet the needs of students and help them develop confidence, fluency, and enjoyment in reading.
This role would suit someone who is organised, creative, and passionate about literacy, and wants to make a positive impact on students’ learning and reading journeys.
