Library and Careers Facilitator job summary
We are looking to appoint a highly motivated individual to provide and maintain a Library service that meets the Academy requirements for its literacy and reading programmes whilst working with the Information Advice and Guidance (IAG) Placement Co-ordinator to arrange and deliver events, talks and resources.
The current postholder has progressively developed this important resource over time and has established excellent links with students and staff across the school. This exciting opportunity will be building upon the work that has already been established.
The successful candidate will:
• Be highly organised;
• Have good Information Technology skills (particularly in using databases and the internet);
• Be an excellent communicator;
• Possess outstanding research skills
We ask that applicants be enthusiastic and possess a calm, organised and approachable character which is seen as an essential part of the role. You must have a clear commitment to working with young people and be able to set clear guidelines for them. The post offers a fulfilling opportunity to work responsibly with young people in the Academy.
