We are looking for an enthusiastic new School Library Assistant to work within our wonderful Learning Resource Centre. The Library Assistant will support the Learning Resource Centre Manager and the established team in the day to day running of the Learning Resource Centre.
The successful applicant will have excellent organisational and communication skills and enjoy working alongside staff and students in this busy, thriving Centre. You will have a real interest in literature as you support the teachers in preparation for their lessons, working with a wide variety of printed and on-line resources. You will also assist in creating displays and look for creative ways to promote reading across the School.
You will work with the LRC Manager to keep the Learning Resource Centre well stocked and in good order for staff and students alike. You will build good relationships with others, enabling all students, including those with SEN, to access resources as required. You will be required to supervise students accessing the library, especially at busy times.
You will possess basic MS Office capabilities and be willing to learn IT systems for the issue/return of books. Please see the job description for further details.
