What skills and experience we're looking for

Job description

Responsibilities:- Assist children in locating and accessing library books- Develop and implement educational programs and workshops for library users- Manage library collections, including cataloguing, shelving, and weeding materials- Stay up-to-date with current trends in library science and technology- Collaborate with other staff to plan and coordinate library services- Promote library resources and services through outreach activities

Qualifications:- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills- Ability to educate and instruct library users effectively- Proficiency in using library management systems and online databases (training can be given)- Familiarity with emerging technologies in libraries- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team

As a librarian, you will play a vital role in promoting reading for pleasure, including maintaining a welcoming environment and ensuring children can access and borrow a wide range of books. You will also co-ordinate the arrangements for borrowing topic books from the school library service.
