What the role involves in a nutshell:
- Lead and oversee developing the literacy curriculum across the school providing students with a range of opportunities and the skills to support their understanding and learning across the curriculum.
- Work with the Trust Director of English and the Head of English to assist in developing policies and procedures to ensure high achievement and effective teaching and learning which incorporates literacy at its core.
- To deliver high quality curriculum provision through effective teaching and learning of English
- To carry out the professional duties of a qualified teacher as identified in the DfE Teachers’ Standards
Develop and maintain excellent professional relationships with students and parents’, including keeping parents informed of pupil progress.
