What skills and experience we're looking for

We are seeking to appoint a confident and self-motivated individual to provide specialist skills and knowledge to ensure that pupils and students who have literacy-related special educational needs or other needs affecting literacy make progress.

You will conduct ongoing literacy assessments of pupils and students to ensure that interventions are matched effectively. This will involve planning, preparing and delivering literacy learning programmes and monitoring the pupils/students by assessing, recording and reporting on their achievements, progress and development.

Applicants need to possess strong literacy skills and will be required to sit a literacy test as part of the interview process. Where necessary, training will be provided for the successful candidate.
