What skills and experience we're looking for
Are you an experienced librarian, interested in managing a Learning Resource Centre in our school? We are looking for someone who is passionate about reading and wants to help the progress of young people. Professional, friendly, patient and polite, with good interpersonal skills and an ability to work with students and teachers with literacy development and championing reading.
The successful candidate will:
- Have an interest in reading, literary, education and working with young people
- Be responsible for the day to day management of the LRC
- Ensure the LRC forms an integral and effective part of the education process meeting the needs and ethos of the school
- Develop and promote literacy, reading for enjoyment and information handling, research and study skills
- Be a positive team player, believe in the importance of team work and adopt a collaborative approach to working.
The successful candidate will present the best possible example of professional standards to colleagues.
