Lunchtime Meal Supervisor job summary
About this Role
We are looking to appoint a friendly, reliable and hard-working person to join our lunchtime supervisors. This is a part-time, permanent position of 7.5 hours a week , Monday to Friday 11.30am - 1.00pm, term time only.
Principle Responsibilities:
To be on duty in the areas allocated at the time allocated.
To supervise pupils to ensure good behaviour during the lunch period.
To encourage pupils to eat all their lunch in a timely manner.
Support pupils with clearing of plates and cutlery
To leave the dining areas in a clean and tidy condition.
To adhere to school policies and procedures that affect you and your duties (e.g. fire, accident reporting, Safeguarding).
To report any accidents / incidents and request assistance if required.
To engage with the pupils in the playground and to encourage and assist interactive play.
To report to the class teacher at the end of lunchtime any incidents regarding inappropriate behaviour whilst under your supervision
What skills / experience are required:
Previous experience in a similar role would be an advantage, but not essential
Good communication skills and a pleasant manner
Enjoy working with children
First Aid Certificate desirable, if not a willingness to train
