Lunchtime Play Leader job summary
Our experienced Head teacher and his supportive senior leadership team are looking for a lunchtime play leader to join their team on a fixed term maternity cover. This role is term time only, 39 weeks per year, working Monday - Friday working 1.5 hours per day and the exact timings will be discussed at interview. This position is a maternity cover and will be on a fixed term contract for the duration.
Main Purpose of the job:
Responsible, under the direction of the Head Teacher or other nominated officer, either individually or as part of a team, for securing the safety, welfare and good conduct of pupils during the lunchtime period, in accordance with agreed practices and procedures.
Key responsibilities include:
- Undertake direct supervision of pupils in designated areas.
- Assist with daily decision on areas for pupil use, e.g.: wet lunchtimes.
- Promote and ensure schools rules regarding games are met and that health and safety procedures are maintained.
- Assist pupils in the dining areas or playground.
