At Grimes Dyke we are very focussed on children’s right to quality play, especially at lunchtimes which equates to 20% of children’s week. For this reason, our lunchtime supervisors are collectively known as the ‘Play Team.’
We are looking for Play Team members to join our team who support our children over lunchtimes. The hours are 11.45am - 1.18pm. (7.75 hours per week) Duties include supervising children with their meals, supervising children in the playground and encouraging good quality play.
Grimes Dyke is a Platinum Award winning Outdoor Play and Learning (OPAL) school and prioritises play as a fundamental right for children. We have extensive green space and encourage children to explore the whole school grounds over lunchtimes regardless of the weather. A pair of wellies are essential for this role!
We are looking for individuals who believe in open ended play and who will encourage children to explore whilst maintaining their safety and wellbeing. We want everyone; children and adults to have fun.
