Lunchtime Supervisor job summary
Springfield School are looking for a enthusiastic and fun individual who is looking for an exiting new opportunity to support children over the lunchtime period.
What does the role involve?
To work under the direction and instruction of senior staff to provide the care of the children during the school lunch break.
Some of your key duties will include:
Supervision of children before, during and after the meal
To transport the lunches from the kitchen to classrooms
Help to clean the plates away and ensure the classroom or dining areas are left clean and tidy ready for the afternoon
Summoning help, where necessary, in case of injury or illness
Supervising in the playground or classroom
Organising games and activities
Help to maintain a safe working environment for children and staff by continuously monitoring dining and general circulation areas for food/drink spillage and taking prompt and effective action to deal with any such hazards in accordance with local procedures.
