St Oswald’s Lunchtime Supervisor

Post: Permanent

Hours: 12:00pm until 1.15pm Monday to Friday, term time only + 5 Training Days

Pay: Scale 1 (1-2) £3245pa

Start date: 2nd September 2024 (or sooner)

We are seeking to appoint a caring, friendly, enthusiastic and dedicated Lunchtime Supervisor.

We are looking for someone who has experience of working with children and managing behaviour and can communicate in a calm and positive manner.   The candidate will need to have the ability to work effectively as part of a team, forming positive relationships with adults and peers.

The role will include:

  • Setting up and clearing away dining room equipment such as chairs and tables.
  • Assist children with their table manners and use of cutlery supporting where necessary
  • Assist with the cleaning of dining tables and the dining hall
  • Supervising children on the playground or classroom (if wet play) and encouraging positive play and inclusion
  • Support behaviour management and record, using the school’s systems, accidents or incidents of behaviour
  • Communicate effectively with the class teacher to ensure handovers are completed
