Lunchtime Supervisor job summary

Governors at Stoneydelph Primary School are looking for an enthusiastic and passionate Lunchtime Supervisor to join our friendly and talented team.

Hours: 5 Hours per week, term time only, permanent contract – Monday – Friday 12.15 pm – 1.15 pm.

Salary: Grade 2 Point 1-3 (FTE £20,441 - £20,812 per annum) = (Pro Rata salary £2,387 to £2,430 per annum)

We promote an inclusive atmosphere and are looking for a new team member who is kind, caring and nurturing to our pupils.

This role is primarily to ensure the safety and general welfare of pupils during the lunchtime period.

The key responsibilities for this post are as follows (a comprehensive job description is available):

To supervise, care for, and play with the children both indoors and outdoors during lunchtimes.

Promote good behaviour and polite table manners in the dining hall and around school.

Assist children in the dining hall and tidy all areas during and following lunch.

Contribute to the planning and organisation of the Lunchtime activities

Work with children aged 4-11 playing fun activities and games and all organising necessary any equipment.

Assist school in establishing an exciting, purposeful and safe lunchtime environment, which enables children to feel secure and happy.

Build positive relationships with the pupils by being friendly and approachable, and prioritise their well-being and welfare during lunchtimes

Encourage excellent lunchtime behaviour and address any incidents by following the Behaviour and Relationships policy

Work co-operatively alongside other members of the lunchtime team and wider school staff.

Uses initiative and communicate effectively
