Lunchtime Supervisory Assistant

Carlton Primary School would like to recruit a permanent, part-time Lunchtime Supervisory Assistant

Hours: 7.5 hours per week, 11.30am – 1.00pm, Monday to Friday, 38 weeks per year (term time only)

Salary range A1/B1 £23,656pro rata, per annum, (actual salary £3349 per annum)

Required to start: Monday 24th February 2025 or as soon as possible after

Carlton is a 1.5 form entry primary school regarded locally as being the focal point of our community and is extremely well supported. We also place great emphasis on the professional development of our staff. Our school is set in the village of Carlton between Wakefield and Leeds and was established during the the Victorian era.

Carlton Primary School has an opportunity to appoint a Lunchtime Supervisory Assistant who can build up happy and caring relationships with the children at lunch times and supervise them.

We are keen to hear from individuals who are patient, calm, organised and adaptable. Being able to work as part of a team is essential, as well as being able to use your own initiative. A positive outlook and a sense of humour is essential.

Duties will include the supervision of pupils, either in the lunch hall or other areas in the school, whilst they are eating lunch or taking part in lunchtime activities. Associated duties will include clearing and cleaning of dining hall and equipment including light manual handling

The jobholder must demonstrate a commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people. This will involve undertaking annual Safeguard training and using school reporting systems for any Safeguard concerns.
