We require new people to join our team. We are looking for dynamic and enthusiastic people to help support the children at lunchtimes and with their personal care needs.

What the school offers its staff

We have a Professional Development lead who will organise all of your training, whilst you are at St Luke's. We understand that most people who start at St Luke's may not have worked in a special school before and therefore we offer a comprehensive induction package.Most of the training for Lunchtime Teaching Assistants takes place during the school day.Our training includes the following areas:

  • Communication (Speech and Language) Training
  • Trauma Informed Practice
  • Meeting Sensory Needs
  • Understanding Child Development
  • Meeting the needs of the children
  • Level 1 Team Teach
  • Moving and Handling Training
  • Safeguarding Training

The candidate will be required to undergo a full enhanced DBS check and must be eligible to work in the UK.
