What skills and experience we're looking for

The Governors of Beighton Nursery Infant School wish to appoint an enthusiastic and flexible person to join our team of lunchtime staff.

The successful candidate will be able to:

  • Supervise pupils and promote good behaviour at lunchtime either in the dining room, classroom or playground.
  • Encourage children to have good table manners and maintain a calm atmosphere in the dining room.
  • Assist with cleaning tables and ensure dining areas are left clean and tidy.
  • Lead and instigate playground activities/games.
  • Set up and clear away play equipment.
  • Administer basic First Aid as appropriate and ensure records are kept in accordance with school procedures.
  • Follow school policies to deal with injuries and illness, ensuring the safety and well-being of pupils.
  • Build positive relationships with children and staff.

Applicants should be willing to join in games, oversee quiet activities and supervise children having free play in the school playground.
