Mainscale Class Teacher job summary
The Governors seek to appoint an excellent and enthusiastic teacher who can join our successful EYFS team to teach a class from September 2022. Our school was inspected by Ofsted in November 2018 where we were graded as good with outstanding features in both personal development, behaviour and welfare and the provision of our EYFS.
The successful candidate will be an outstanding practitioner who has:
Experience of EYFS outstanding teacher
a clear vision of primary education
a passion for teaching and learning
high expectations of pupils and a commitment to raising standards
a personable nature and the ability to work well as part of the staff team
an ability to positively engage with pupils and adults
a desire to be involved in the full life of the school
Someone to lead the performing arts across the school

The school is situated in the market town of Bedale, providing education for children from a rich variety of backgrounds. We strive to provide an excellent education for all our pupils within a caring, stimulating and motivating learning environment. To help us achieve this aim staff, governors and parents work in close partnership together with added support from the Diocese of West Yorkshire and the Dales and the local parish church of St. Gregory’s. Being a Church of England school, our ethos is embedded in Christian values which underpin all areas of school life.
Our school is a happy, thriving primary school for children aged 4-11 years old. There are over 350 children on roll across fourteen classes. In addition to our well-qualified teaching staff, we have a number of excellent learning support assistants, who work across the school supporting and enhancing children's learning where necessary.
