Experience of this type of role would be an advantage but all relevant training will be provided.
Our Learning Tutors want to make a different by enabling students to learn, promoting their independence and helping them to achieve. You will also support the implementation of their Medical Plan and Education Health and Care Plan (EHCP).
Ideally, you will have experience of working with students in an educational setting although transferrable skills gained in another care setting would be acceptable. In addition, you will have a good standard of education to enable you to effectively support students in a classroom setting.
There will be first aid duties as part of a first aid team therefore a First Aid certificate would be advantageous but is not essential as training will be provided.
A genuine occupational requirement for a male worker exists for this post under the Equality Act 2010 due to privacy and decency.
