Management Accountant job summary

The Pioneer Academy are looking for a Management Accountant to join their Trust wide finance and business team, working alongside our COO CFO and finance managers. This is a new role and is initially for 1 year on a fixed term contract. The working day will be 08.00 - 17:00 Monday to Friday mainly based at our MAT head office (address within this advert). There will be occasions when travel to Trust schools is also required. This will ideally be a full time role (52 weeks a year), but we will also consider term time only options for applicants who are seeking such a role.

Main Responsibilities (also see the attached job description):

  • Assist with developing the Trust’s monthly and annual management reporting and ensuring robust budget management across the schools as required.
  • Ensure robust financial management is in place across the Trust in accordance with ESFA guidelines and the Trust’s financial policies.
  • To lead on the budgeting software aspects of academy conversions.
  • Ensure all transactions are processed on the Trust’s accounting software in a timely and accurate manner
  • Ensure all financial reconciliations are undertaken in a timely manner.
