Maternity cover: Primary Assistant Maths Hub Lead job summary

The London central and North West Maths hub works with state schools across Westminster, Camden, Islington, Barnet, Haringey and Enfield, providing maths professional development that is underpinned by the principles of teaching for mastery. Maths hubs are growing mathematical learning communities of trained specialists and professional development leads who work closely with schools in their boroughs. As a maths hub, we provide bespoke support for schools, empowering their teachers through collaboration and evidence-based practices to inspire a love of learning for all pupils.

We have an exciting opportunity to join the London Central and North West Maths Hub leadership and management team as a Primary Assistant Maths Hub Lead, working alongside the other members of the Maths hub leadership and management team for the Maths Hub and working closely with the NCETM who provide our training.

Time commitment: 2 days per week during term time.

This role is a secondment. Your school will be paid an appropriate daily rate for your time including pension and national insurance contributions.

Consultants are also welcome to apply for the position, pay negotiated on experience.

Before you submit your application, please ensure that you have the full support of your line manager and headteacher.

Taking applications for a February 2024, April 2024 or September 2024 start.

The post will be a MAT cover until April 2025, however there might be an opportunity to extend this role beyond this time frame as opportunities arise within the Maths Hub.

Please note that applicants may be called earlier so we recommend submitting your application as soon as possible.
