Hadrian Learning Trust are looking for an outstanding teacher of mathematics who is keen to take on additional leadership responsibilities. The post will suit someone who is ambitious and aspiring to progress in their career. You will have the opportunity to work in an exceptionally talented mathematics department, leading learning, inspiring colleagues and students.
This is a very exciting time for the trust. which was ranked 2nd in the North-East in the Sunday Times Parent Power listings. The school is located in the beautiful market town of Hexham and is moving to a brand-new facility in September, with state-of-the art resources. The High School is also co-locating with Hexham Middle School and the successful candidate will work with the Curriculum Leader and lead the development of the Key Stage 3 curriculum across both schools. The mathematics department is outstanding with high levels of attainment and progress, achieving some of the best outcomes in the North-East.
The subject is very popular in the school curriculum with up to 70 students each year choosing to study mathematics as one of their A Level options and a further 20 choosing further mathematics in the sixth form. We expect our teachers to have the necessary subject knowledge to teach high achieving A Level students and the skills to be able to inspire, motivate and support all students whatever their needs or abilities. Teachers at QEHS should also be committed to their own professional learning, be creative, solution-focused and willing to contribute to the wider life of the school.
