Salary: NJC points 2 - 10, depending on experience- £27,306 FTE - £30,771 FTE. Actual salary for term-time-only working £23,357 - £26,321. The salary is paid evenly each month over the whole year. Fixed term contract. This may be extended, dependent on Maths Hub funding. Full-time and part-time working considered.


Hours: 36 hours, 8:00am-4:00pm (Lunch break unpaid) (flexibility to extend working hours occasionally when required, claiming back time in lieu)

About the role

We have an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic and proactive candidate to join our team at the Maths Hub as an Events and Social Media Co-ordinator. The purpose of this role is to ensure the efficient coordination of all processes and activities relating to the hub and to facilitate effective internal and external communication. We are looking for someone who is highly organised and efficient with excellent social and communication skills. You will be the face of the Maths Hub and responsible for ensuring that all of our projects and events are well organised and run smoothly from end-to-end. Providing the best experience possible for the participants and other teachers and stakeholders that we work with in our networks and communities. You will be based at the lead school office at St Marylebone CE School but with potential to work in different schools and locations for different projects.

We are also looking to raise the profile of the work that we do by having a greater social media presence, this will include creating content using Canva and other related programmes to create outward facing content for regular social media updates on twitter, LinkedIn and explore other social media platforms.

There will be the opportunity to work from home 1 day per week after successful completion of the 6 months probation.

Maths Hubs are funded by the Department for Education and we have a growing number of teachers dedicated to improving maths education for all pupils in state funded schools, sharing their knowledge and expertise by providing school-to-school support.
