Maths & Science Teacher job summary
We are currently looking to appoint an outstanding, enthusiastic, and highly effective Maths and Science teacher (with an approximate split of 0.6 FTE for Maths and 0.4 FTE for Science).
The successful candidate will be someone who can inspire our students through their passion for Maths and Science, and who holds a firm belief in the potential of all students. Experience in teaching both Maths and Science at Key Stages 3 and 4 is essential. This role represents an exceptional opportunity to work within an innovative and supportive environment.
The Science department is successful, experienced, supportive and vibrant. The department is well resourced and staff teach in their own laboratory, supported by a team of technicians. Pupils achieve strong outcomes and there is a strong emphasis on practical work. Although this is a part time position, you will have your own teaching laboratory.
The Mathematics department is supportive, very successful, experienced and vibrant. The department achieves good outcomes and is ably led by a talented and dedicated Head of Department. We deliver an in‐house Key Stage 3 curriculum and follow the AQA curriculum at Key Stage 4. All pupils will gain qualifications in both Mathematics and Statistics, with some pupils studying Free Standing Mathematics Qualifications in Additional Mathematics.
We are part of the Synergy Multi‐Academy Trust with strong links to the Mathematics and Science department at Reepham High School and College, Sheringham High School and Stalham High School.
We reserve the right to close this vacancy early if we receive sufficient applications for the role. Therefore, if you are interested, please submit your application as early as possible.

Synergy Multi Academy Trust
Litcham School is an ‘all through’ school which is one of 15 schools within Synergy Multi Academy Trust. Other Synergy secondary schools are Reepham High School & College, Sheringham High School and Stalham High School. Synergy MAT grew significantly in September 2021 when the North Norfolk Academies Trust (NNAT) merged with Synergy. Synergy already enjoys effective and productive trust wide collaboration, which is particularly strong in its primary schools, and the merger has paved the way for the next stage of collaboration between secondary schools. We expect being part of this collaboration will offer excellent opportunities for professional development at all levels, but particularly at Senior Leadership level. This enhanced collaboration is now in its second year. To find out more about Synergy MAT, please visit its website www.synergymat.org.uk
Litcham School
Litcham School is an excellent school across both the Primary and the Secondary Phases. Outcomes have been strong for several years and our recently published Ofsted Graded inspection report judged the school to be Good in all areas. We firmly believe high quality Personal Development is the foundation of outstanding school–pupil rapport, pupils feeling a sense of belonging to and ownership of the school, positive school-community links and subsequent pupil progress.
