Due to the promotion of the current post-holder, we are excited to offer this opportunity for an inspirational and ambitious teacher of mathematics to join our successful team as the 3rd in department. The successful applicant will join a supportive team, working alongside a well-established and very able maths department. You will be passionate about mathematics and have the drive to be part of a forward-thinking department, focused on developing exciting and engaging learning experiences, and ideally you will be able to teach Key Stage 5 Maths. This position would suit an ambitious teacher of maths looking for an opportunity to develop their teaching and leadership skills. The exact responsibilities of this post would be negotiated with the successful candidate.

The successful candidate will be joining the school at an exciting time as examination results have seen rapid improvement and the school is expanding. In 2019, 72% of our KS4 cohort achieved grade 4+ in both English and Maths, and 52% achieved grade 5+ in both English and Maths. The school’s Progress 8 score was +0.26, and the gap between disadvantaged students and their peers closed significantly for the second successive year, with the Progress 8 score for disadvantaged students being +0.06. In KS5, we achieved 56% A* - B and 79% A* - C, an average grade of B- and a positive progress measure.
