Maths Teacher job summary
We are looking for an enthusiastic Maths teacher to inspire young minds. The successful candidate will have a passion for Maths and be keen to share this in the classroom, teaching both KS3 and KS4.

Applemore College is a good school (most recent Ofsted inspection 2017) and well known for outstanding pastoral care. Our vision is to become one of the most successful schools in Hampshire by 2026. Our school has a strong and talented teaching and non-teaching team of staff, whose aim is to ensure that our young people have access to the highest quality educational and personal development opportunities available.
We are a small, friendly, fully comprehensive school sited adjacent to the New Forest and serving the Waterside communities of Marchwood and Hythe and the surrounding villages. We take pride in knowing our students individually and in our reputation for high standards of safeguarding and pastoral care as well as an increasing reputation for excellent education and providing students with the wider opportunities necessary to develop their cultural capital. Our students leave the school, equipped to succeed at local colleges and then at further and higher education including Oxford and Cambridge Universities.
Our ethos is based on high expectations of behaving well, working hard and being responsible and kind. We reward students for positive choices and behaviour and support students through a restorative process of behaviour management. We have an excellent Support for Learning team dedicated to supporting the needs of SEND students and drawing on the expertise of two resource provisions, as well as a large and experienced Student Support team including our own Mental Health and Well-being lead.
As well as our curriculum provision, we also offer a wide range of extra-curricular opportunities including sporting clubs, Science, Robotic and Programming clubs, as well as the Duke of Edinburgh Award. We organise a range of trips within the UK and abroad including skiing and water sports trips. Being a form tutor is a key part of the Applemore community as well as belonging to a house and actively supporting the house system.
We are proud to be a founding member of the Rural Schools Alliance, as well as remaining a maintained school drawing on the full support of Hampshire County Council.
