What skills and experience we're looking for

Samuel Ryder Academy seeks an enthusiastic and inspirational Maths Teacher to teach across the age and ability range. This opportunity is open to experienced qualified teachers and early career teachers. Samuel Ryder offers the successful candidate an inspiring and rewarding role.

What the school offers its staff

OFSTED inspected the Academy in June 2022 and judged the school to be GOOD with Leadership and Management, Personal Development and Sixth- form Provision graded OUTSTANDING.

The Academy has a clear vision and ethos which has led to outstanding results and is the school of choice for local parents. Our specialisms are English and New Technologies, and as an Apple Distinguished School and Regional Training Centre for Apple, we have innovative use of iPad technology across the school. There are excellent facilities for both staff and students.

We offer an innovative induction and professional development programme, recognising that our staff are the key to our success. You will benefit from supportive colleagues, enthusiastic students and excellent facilities and resources.

The Academy is part of Scholars’ Education Trust (SET), an established, cross phase, multi-academy trust formed in 2012. SET has enjoyed measured growth, ensuring maximum educational impact alongside school, a primary school, an extended secondary, two secondary schools and an all-through school. We currently have just over 4,500 pupils in our care.

This is a great time to join SET. We are a growing trust with a proven record of school improvement and a strong moral purpose. We pride ourselves that we already demonstrate excellent practice in many areas but we are always open to new ideas and creative thinking. We are big enough to really add value to our schools, but not so big that individuals can get overlooked! If you would like more information or to visit us to find out more, then please don’t hesitate to contact us. If you are ready for the next challenge in your career and think you would enjoy being part of the SET family, then we look forward to hearing from you!
