Maths Teacher (Intervention) job summary

Start date: September 2020

Fixed term contract 1 year

Varndean School requires an enthusiastic, committed and outstanding teacher of Maths to contribute to our recovery curriculum following the period of school closure due to Covid 19.

The busy, productive and highly effective Maths department is at the heart of the school’s curriculum and there will be extensive opportunities for the new appointee to develop professionally and contribute to helping the school fulfill its ambitious academic agenda.

This is a great opportunity for a passionate teacher to become part of a well-established, highly collaborative and successful team as we are confident that our teaching and support teams, our facilities and most importantly, our students will inspire you.

Varndean is a ‘Good’ school (Ofsted 2017). Ofsted commented that:

"Since the last inspection, you have strengthened the quality of teaching in the school. This has resulted in improved progress for pupils in all years and in better GCSE examination results.“
