Meadowbrook College is an Alternative Provision (AP) Academy located across five sites in Oxfordshire: Banbury, Oxford, Kidlington, Bicester and Abingdon, supporting students who have either been excluded or are at risk of exclusion from school. The Academy offers students a unique approach, based on an integrated curriculum of core and technical (vocational) learning.
We have the following vacancy for September 2019:
Maths Teacher
Contract Type: Permanent
Contract Term: Full time
Salary: TMS or UPS + SEN 1 (£2,149)
We are seeking to recruit a talented and skilled Mathematics Teacher. This is an exciting opportunity for someone with the ability to inspire and motivate students who have been permanently excluded from school or finding it difficult to manage their behaviour. This is a unique opportunity to make a substantial contribution to further improving outcomes for a significant group of vulnerable and challenging learners and to help shape provision across the College and in partner schools through an outreach model.
We are looking for applicants who are willing to work across our Banbury and Oxford sites but if you prefer to locate in one area please do still apply and state your preference in your application.
We wish to appoint someone who is/has:
● An inspirational teacher, with strong interpersonal and motivational skills and an excellent track record of delivering excellence in the classroom
● High quality organisation and self-management skills
● Not afraid of a challenge and have strong, restorative behaviour management skills
● Creative and innovative with an ability to translate ideas into practice
● Resilient and has a passion for achieving the best possible outcomes for our vulnerable learners
● Flexible and able to engage with vocational learning and teach on the wider curriculum eg. work skills; well-being; enrichment.
