Maths Teacher job summary

We’re looking for a maths teacher who is passionate about supporting young people who have faced multiple barriers to learning. A teacher who shares our determination to give students innovative, experiential learning opportunities.

Our ideal candidate would be an experienced KS3/ KS4 teacher who wants to develop their practice and experience more dynamic ways of engaging children in learning.

This post will remain open until successfully filled by the right applicant -early applications are encouraged. Please note we can not accept CVs. This post is being offered as either part-time or full-time and we are able to offer flexible working conditions for the right candidate.

* work closely with our headteacher, our staff, parents/ carers and our students to deliver our strategic vision and help make our ambitious plans for the academy a reality

Our alternative provision academy in Hornchurch, in the London Borough of Havering, supports young people aged between 11 and 16 who have been permanently excluded from school.

The academy also offers an intervention programme specifically for those young people who are at risk of permanent exclusion from their mainstream school.

The academy building is undergoing a major refurbishment programme and the new facilities will be completed in Spring 2019.

We are part of a multi-academy trust with three alternative provision academies and an outreach service in London and the east of England. We help our pupils develop the confidence, skills and knowledge to believe that they can be successful in their own lives.
