What skills and experience we're looking for

You will have the skills and personality to develop strong, professional and sustainable relationships with students, being positive, calm, resilient, consistent and reliable. Your individual and group management and communication skills will be outstanding. This specific post has KS4 Tutor Group responsibilities, delivering PSHE/Citizenship and the daily development of student’s social, emotional and mental health needs. You will work closely Teaching Assistants and Key Workers in order to support individual students.

What the school offers its staff

The Bridge School is a Pupil Referral Unit for KS3 & KS4 students. The School requires an outstanding and committed Teacher who can deliver Maths to students who are either having difficulty accessing high school education, or whom are permanently excluded. Your will be teaching primarily to KS4 students, but with a smaller element of KS3 teaching and/or aspects of the wider curriculum. Our students exhibit social, emotional and mental health issues which present through a range of behaviours. We therefore require a professional who is competent and skilled in managing and modifying behaviour, as well as being an enthusiastic and effective teaching practitioner
