What skills and experience we're looking for

We are looking to appoint a friendly, caring early years mealtime assistant to support our growing lunch club for our three and four year olds at Plym Bridge Nursery School and Day Care. An Early Years level 2 qualification would be preferable but not essential. The successful candidate will be passionate about providing young children with a safe and structured mealtime where they can eat and play with their friends happily. They will also have the ability to form positive relationships with young children quickly. They will provide support and encouragement to the children to eat their packed lunch and interact calmly and amicably with their peers.

This post is a permanent post. Working hours will be 11.15am - 1.15pm, Monday to Friday, term-time only.

We are a maintained nursery school which caters for children from birth to five years. We run two provisions; one is a daycare provision for birth to two years and the other is a nursery provision. We specialise in developing staff who are highly skilled in managing children with a wide range of special needs as well as mainstream pupils.
We are part of the IDEAL Federation which includes an additional nursery school and a primary school as well as a PVI nursery. We are also running the Early Years Southwest Stronger Practice Hub for the southwest region.
We work closely with Plymouth Local Authority and manage the Speech and Language Education Team for the city through a service level agreement.
