About Plympton St Maurice Primary School

Welcome to Plympton St Maurice Primary School, a small, one form entry primary school where every child is noticed. Our school is a welcome, calm learning environment where our staff team recognise the importance of being an individual, with individual needs and differences.

Our school grounds are unique. The school itself comprises of one long corridor with classes stemming from this. Our grounds are special – we have a larger than average school field with our own forest school area (and outdoor classroom) as well as a purpose build foundation area (covered for all weather use) and playground with equipment to keep the most active entertained.

Our children behave incredibly well in school and follow our three key principles of being safe, being kind and being ready to learn. Our staff are dedicated to improving the life chances of all children with our shared vision of ‘Nurturing curiosity to allow happy, aspirational children to flourish’.

We offer a wide range of clubs, residentials and whole school experiences as well as a rare overseas residential to France for our oldest children.
