What skills and experience we're looking for

We are seeking to appoint an adaptable, flexible and resourceful Medical Support Assistant who is able to cope in a high-pressure environment and deal with constantly changing priorities.

The successful candidate will

  • be well-motivated and keen to show their interest in Medical Support
  • have responsibility over student triage, dealing with illness, injury, maintaining accurate records, and administration support
  • provide appropriate first aid treatment as trained and administer medication when appropriate
  • have a flexible approach in order to support a range of duties therefore experience in medical assistance is advantageous however internal training will be given
  • be responsible for maintaining first aid equipment, stock and records
  • contribute to the development of the department as part of a dedicated team
  • have a professional attitude that is open to innovative ways of working and be committed to working in partnership with a range of staff
  • communicate with parents where appropriate
  • be flexible and adaptable when faced with challenges

  • liaise with and support the school nursing team with school-based vaccinations
