To support the growing pastoral needs of the school, we are seeking to appoint an empathetic practitioner who can embody the principles of the school’s Mental Health and Wellbeing Policy. We are looking for someone who has skills and experience in working with young people with additional needs and are ambitious about developing their skills sets and practice.

You must have a proven background of successfully working with children. You must have good ICT skills and be innovative in your approaches to their deployment and use. You must be able to form good working relationships with students, be an excellent role model and have excellent skills in responding to and resolving complex behaviours. The successful candidate will have excellent communication skills and a passion and desire to work with pupils from a variety of backgrounds. They must be dynamic individuals who are able to respond to the changing demands of daily school life.

The successful candidate will be passionate about inclusion and improving outcomes for students with special educational needs and share our commitment to ensuring that all our young people are fully prepared and supported for life beyond education. Our school caters for 238 pupils aged 7 -19 years with a wide range of special educational needs including Autism Spectrum Disorder, Global Development Delay and Moderate to Severe Learning Disabilities.

The School offers a comprehensive CPD programme and has been awarded the Investors in People Platinum Award. School occupies state-of-the-art facilities on a £23million Rowley Learning Campus.
