.6fte fixed term contract to 31/08/2025
To start 23 April 2025
We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and dedicated MFL Teacher to join our highly successful Languages department and to teach Spanish or Spanish and French to GCSE across Key Stages 3 and 4. This position is suitable for a Newly Qualified Teacher or a more experienced colleague wishing to broaden their experience.
The Languages department is very successful, experienced, supportive and vibrant. All subjects are highly popular options for GCSE, with almost 80% of students choosing a language in a free option system. Outcomes are exceptionally strong. The area is led by a talented and dedicated Head of Department, and staff generally teach in their own rooms. We currently deliver French, German and Spanish, following the Edexcel specification. We are part of the Synergy Multi-Academy Trust and therefore have strong links with the Languages department at Reepham High School and College.
You will receive high quality support and CPD, and will be encouraged to develop enquiry and research to improve your pedagogy further. If you would like to be part of our future, working with an employer who will listen to you, challenge and support your decision making, as well as provide you with a wealth of resources to fulfil this fantastic opportunity, your application will be welcomed.
The school is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. If appointed, you will be required to undertake a Disclosure Barring Service (DBS) check and comply with child protection policies and practices. You will also need to provide two satisfactory references.

Synergy Multi Academy Trust
Litcham School is an ‘all through’ school which is one of 15 schools within Synergy Multi Academy Trust. Other Synergy secondary schools are Reepham High School & College, Sheringham High School and Stalham High School. Synergy MAT grew significantly in September 2021 when the North Norfolk Academies Trust (NNAT) merged with Synergy. Synergy already enjoys effective and productive trust wide collaboration, which is particularly strong in its primary schools, and the merger has paved the way for the next stage of collaboration between secondary schools. We expect being part of this collaboration will offer excellent opportunities for professional development at all levels, but particularly at Senior Leadership level. This enhanced collaboration is now in its second year. To find out more about Synergy MAT, please visit its website www.synergymat.org.uk
Litcham School
Litcham School is an excellent school across both the Primary and the Secondary Phases. Outcomes have been strong for several years and our recently published Ofsted Graded inspection report judged the school to be Good in all areas. We firmly believe high quality Personal Development is the foundation of outstanding school–pupil rapport, pupils feeling a sense of belonging to and ownership of the school, positive school-community links and subsequent pupil progress.
