Midday Assistant job summary

Midday Assistants - Fixed Term contract until 31st August 2026

Pattern of work may vary depending on the year group

Monday – Friday 12:15pm – 1:30pm

37 weeks of the year – term time only

Stanford-le-Hope Primary School is seeking two dedicated Midday Assistants to join our supportive and dynamic team. This role is essential in ensuring a safe, positive, and engaging environment for our pupils during lunchtimes. Flexibility may be required on the specific working pattern due to the differing lunch time for certain year groups.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and interact with children in the playground and dining hall.
  • Encourage healthy eating and good table manners.
  • Escort pupils between dining and play areas.
  • Provide basic first aid and maintain accurate records.
  • Foster a happy, secure, and inclusive lunchtime experience.
