What skills and experience we're looking for
Main Purpose of the Post
To supervise students in the dining room and other areas of school as required
Main Tasks
1. To be committed to safeguarding and promoting the health, safety and welfare of students at all times.
2. To supervise students in the dining areas and elsewhere as directed.
3. To meet the needs of students by enabling their independence with regards to eating and drinking, toileting, hand washing, teeth cleaning (if required) and play.
4. To support students with their personal care needs.
5. To communicate effectively with students and staff.
6. To supervise students outside or in the classroom, and elsewhere as directed, during the lunchtime period.
7. To take students with minor accidents, or who are unwell, to the named first aider or school nurse.
8. To assist in hoisting and positioning pupils in the classrooms and other areas of the school whether inside or outside (once appropriate training has been completed).
9. To participate in relevant training and meetings.
10. To be aware of and comply with policies and procedures relating to safeguarding, health, safety and security, confidentiality and data protection, reporting all concerns to an appropriate person.
11. To work under the direction of the Head Teacher or Deputy Head in completing any tasks required in relation to the above post.
