Contract: Part time, Permanent
Hours: 11.25 hours, 38 weeks (term time only)
Working pattern: Monday to Friday, 11.15am – 1.30pm
Salary: Pathway 1, £5,754.25 - £5,849.70, (FTE £22,366 - £22,737) per annum

Join our team at Thomas Deacon Academy as a Midday Assistant!
Your role:
As a Midday Assistant, you will supervise and support pupils during lunchtime, ensuring their safety and promoting appropriate behaviour. You will also facilitate a smooth and orderly lunch period, challenge inappropriate behaviour, handle incidents, and report them. Promoting and safeguarding the welfare of all students is a key part of your role.
To be successful in this role, you should have the ability to manage groups of students and work as part of a team. Strong communication skills with colleagues and students are essential, as is the ability to encourage high standards of behaviour and remain calm under pressure. Flexibility and adaptability to meet the needs of the Academy are also important. Knowledge of safeguarding in education is essential, and experience working with children and young people is desirable.
